Micheal Mizrachi was born on January the 5th 1981 in Miami. Michael originally studied to become a doctor but as with many poker professionals he had the "calling" while studying and dropped out to play poker full time. His playing style is quite methodical as what you would expect from a "grinder" in poker. He always keeps a level head and it is rare that you will see him place a foot out of line at the wrong time. Michael is definitely not a player you would expect to see start suffering from tilt issues.

Michael first got into poker from his mum who taught him how to play. He started to take is seriously after his older brother started to do really well. His two older brothers still play poker quite successfully though not with the same profile as Michael. Michael is a unique player in the fact that he was quite successful from the moment he started playing which is rare in the poker world.

Mizarachi is a well respected player in the poker community and he won the 2006 CardPlayer Magazine player of the year. He has a massive wealth of experience when it comes to playing live tournament poker. He has managed to accumulate over 8.6 million dollars worth of tournament prizes in his life time. One of his most notable cashes was in 2010 where Michael won the WSOP players 50k championship netting himself just over 1.5 million dollars along with his first World Series of Poker bracelet. Though this was his first World Series of Poker bracelet he has had 20 cashes in the poker tournament series which has made him just over 2.1 million dollars in total.

He travels around the world to play the largest poker tournaments in the world. He won the 10k L.A poker classic netting himself over 1.8 million dollars as well as the 10k Borgata Winter Poker Open which was worth a nice 1.173 million. Though these are his major wins he does have a number of other impressive finishes including 5th place in the 2005 WPT which featured a number of professionals including Scotty Nguyen and Daniel Negreanu.

Mizrachi is not one of the poker "television" regulars however he did appear in the second season of the very popular poker cash game show "High Stakes Poker". You can expect to see Michael on TV a lot more considering he is one of the lucky few who have made the World Series Of Poker 2010 Main Event November Nine.
